Especially for You

“For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, …  I needed clothes and you clothed me…” -Matthew 25:35-36 (NIV)

Especially for You (E.F.Y.) began over two decades ago. It was the vision the founding Pastor, Pastor Florezel Porter. One of Burnside’s premier outreach ministries, the purpose of this ministry is to answer God’s call to help people with His love through reaching out to meet the everyday needs of others by feeding the hungry. The E.F.Y. ministry provides meals to those in need, serving hot meals monthly during the Spring and Fall months (April – October) throughout various areas in Illinois. This ministry also provides clothing for men, women and children.   Our concern is not only to share the everyday need of food and clothes, but to share the love and Word of God.  We ask for nothing in return. All is free of charge.  We simply want others to know we care about them and God loves them.
